DNA Emergency
Okay so NO JUDGING.. on December 7, I had unprotected sex with an ex.. I have a 31 day cycle so my fertile window was from dec 12-17 with me ovulating on the 15. I had sex with my bf and he released in me on the 15.. my estimated date of conception is December 16.. is there anyway possible there can be a chance my ex is the father.. he said he didn't release in me, I saw him release on my pelvic area but still.. if he did, the sperm would have died before my ovulation right ??
Similar dates n situation as me. My DD is 08 Sep 2014...guessing yours is same? Too difficult to wait for Dna in my situation coz the 2 guys are of different race...! :((

In the average 28 day menstrual cycle, a woman begins her period on day 1. Then the period ends around day 5, and on day 14 the woman ovulates and releases an egg from her ovary into the fallopian tube. If she's had sex in the few days prior to that, it's likely there will be sperm in the fallopian tube waiting for the release of the egg and will fertilize the egg. At that point, the fertilized egg travels down the fallopian tube and implants in her uterus - a process that takes several days.
When the egg implants in her uterus on about day 19 or her cycle hormones are released that keep her uterus from sloughing off the lining and blood and the woman misses her period on day 28. At that point, about 14 days after she ovulated, she can take a pregnancy test and it will usually be correct.
So conception doesn't occur two weeks after sex - but rather, within days. If she has sex between day 12 - 14 or her menstrual cycle she is most likely to get pregnant.

Either one could be the father, although it's more likely your boyfriend.
When you determine a "fertile window", are you going strictly by a calendar or are you using some other method - like mucous or temperature changes?
A cycle determined only by the calendar can be off - women can ovulate late or have an interrupted or delayed cycle after being raped or being under physical or emotional stress, and strong sexual feelings can cause early ovulation.
If your boyfriend doesn't already know about you having sex with the ex, I wouldn't mention it to him.

If you're sure you ovulated the 12th there is only the slightest chance it would be your exes. Sperm lives on average 3 days within the female reproductive tract. It has been recorded living up to 5 days, but that is not common. I would say it is probably your bf's child. DNA is the only way to know for sure. You should be honest with your bf either way.
I would let your bf know there's a chance he may or may not be the father. & prepare him for the possibility. Dna test can only tell. Good luck!
Yes you can conceive right away. When I got pregnant with my son I ovulated just a few hours after having sex and had implantation bleeding a couple days later (which means I conceived almost immediately and the blastula made its way to the uterus in a hurry). Sometimes it can be a few days between sex and conception but certainly not always. Definitely not two weeks. Two weeks between LMP and ovulation, then two more weeks before hcg levels are detectable by a HPT.
I'd say it's improbable that it's your ex's baby. You'll want a DNA test to make sure, since it's not impossible... but pretty improbable.

Agree With Taylorshay... I Don't Think You Can Conceive The Day After Sex! I Think It takes At Least A Week Or Two
pre *** though so if he wasnt protected, he can't justify a damn thing. dont let him either. usually your conception date is 2 weeks after sex (correct me if I'm wrong) but thats what my midwife explained. so I wouldn't let the ex slide away too easily. but think about yourself for a change and ease yournmind with a tes so you can just relax (:
I would say it is ur bfs.. but if u r worried a dna test when bub is born is best try not stress too much. And maybe be honest with ur bf..
