Paternity

Hi...I was in a relationship last year and ended it at the end of July '13.  I had sex with my ex-girlfriend on July 30 2013.  She quickly was in a relationship after me with her old boyfriend.  I recently found out that she had a child between the dated of May 13-23 2014.  I am unsure of the exact birthdate but through a Facebook posting I am gathering it is closer to May 23 2014 and know on a registry that the due date is listed as May 13th.  Could the child be mine?  Through due date calculators it did not seem highly likely but there may be a small chance.  I do not want to ask the new mother this question to create stress in her new life.  Please give some feedback. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback.  Annie Brooke...I came to a similar time of conception that you did.  I used a reverse due date calculator on this site...http://www.calculator.net/pregnancy-conception-calculator.html?today=05%2F13%2F2014&printit=0&x=65&y=18
Her family liked me and I respected them and would suspect that if there was a question that she or one of her parents would have contacted me about the scenario.

I don't see the dates as adding up.  The baby would have been conceived somewhere around August 20 at the earliest.  I also would suspect that either she would have contacted you if there had been any question in her mind, or her boyfriend might have insisted on a DNA test with you and with him, and it doesn't sound like any of that happened.

It could be yours,  the dates add up. I would wait a bit so she can adjust and enjoy her new baby. But you have a right as the father to know if this is your child. Ill try to.call her or ask her in person if u can have a dna test! If she denys u can have a court.order to find out!! Best of luck
