If she told you that you were around 7 weeks, you would have conceived about 5 weeks ago.  Talk to your ob-gyn about this, he or she can confirm since you have had an ultrasound.  It all sounds like Mr. April 17 was too late to get you pregnant.

If your periods are about always every 28 days or 29 days, in other words, regular, the chances are you got pregnant before the sex with the other guy.  Since you are still early in pregnancy, you could get an ultrasound and use it to help confirm this.  If you wait on the ultrasound, you won't be able to use it as reliably, because embryos grow at different rates, but if you get one this week, it should help.  Keep in mind that the doctor will use a gestational age figure (weeks "pregnant" figure) that begins at the first day of your last period, not on the day of conception.

Do you have regular cycles with periods about every four weeks or so, and this is the first time one has not come on time?  Or do you have irregular cycles and they just come whenever?  If so, how long of a time is normal between periods?
