I am hoping so, but because of this stupid test, I've lost faith and trust in the whole dna testing thing even though I have read they are far more accurate, so it scares me to do another one. I just need to know there are people out there who have been through something similar and had done another test after the baby was born proving he was indeed the father. I know he's in a lot of pain because of this and I totally feel for him.
I'm glad he agreed to the retest. It should clear things up.
I have thought about that possibility that he could've sent someone else to do the test, as we didn't even go in together to get this test done. It would seem like he wouldn't do this because he really wanted this child, and now he's devastated (I spoke to one of his friends). I've had the results retested with my leftover blood vials and results came back today still excluding him. Father had asked me not to contact him but has agreed to do another test after baby is born.
It would be easy enough for him to get a buddy to do his swab and then to cut off with you pretending to be indignant when he was really just wanting to shirk the responsibility. As RockRose says, get him to test with a certified lab (certified by the courts) when the baby is born. Your lawyer can see that he gets a summons.
If you google this, it seems to be a common occurrence. Wait until the baby is born and have a court mandated dna test done, where the collecting of DNA samples from the baby and suspected father will be supervised.
