The only part where you and I are on slightly different tracks is that if you count back 7 weeks 1 day from August 11, I get June 22.
Here is how it works for me: August 11 = 7weeks 1day. That makes August 10 = 7 weeks. Then August 3 is 6 weeks, July 27 is 5 weeks, July 20 is 4 weeks, July 13 is 3 weeks, July 6 is 2 weeks, June 29 is 1 week, and June 22 is 0, i.e., the start date. If you want, you could say June 23 is day 1.
The calculator that I use, like ultrasounds, computes a standard 14-day spread between the (assumed) first day of the last period and the presumed day of conception. If June 22 or 23 is the 'day 1' the ultrasound projected, whether or not it matches the actual first day of your last period, that 7 week 1 day crown-rump measurement is saying you conceived about 5 weeks 1 day before August 11 when you had the ultrasound (i.e., around July 6). I'm never too distressed if a person's actual period is a bit off when the ultrasound calculator thinks one should have begun, but being two weeks off, when your periods were sounding kind of regular, is just a bit of a head-scratcher.
Okay so let me re-start then. Okay so back in June 2012 of last year i was on the depo shot and completely stopped my period until February 2013 I only took the shot once but it completely stopped my period. My period was always normal before that I was never late and never missed a day.
My periods after the depo shot were like this:
'
January I have no period
February I had a period from Feb 8th until the 11th
March I had a period from March 8th until the 9th weird period
April I had a period from April 9th until the 13th
May I had a period from May 8th until the 13th
June I had a period from June 8th until the 13th
and my next period would of been July 7th through the 11th
and then in August it would of been August 6th through the 10th
those days are 95 percent of the time correct or always being on time or a day late.
Okay so I had sex with my boyfriend on June 29th and July 5th and then the whole month of July. My friend and I did NOT have sex at all or anything close too it and he says he didn't have any precum so I believe he didn't. And if he did It couldnt of been a lot and since I gave him a Blow j o b i had spit on my hand so the risk would of been very low ( so im hoping)
Anyways I went to the hospital on August 11th I had an ultrasound and the tech told me this:
Single live intrauterine gestation with fetal pole measuring 7 weeks 1 day by crown rump length. Regular fetal heart rate 147 beats per minute.
And I went to the hospital on the 13th but the report that I gave you above was printed on the 14th because we left the hospital at 1 am.
So when I asked her how far along I was she told me 7 weeks. And if you count back 7 weeks counting the 7th week so August 11th then counting back 7 weeks from that day it brings you to July 30th so the beginning of July. That;s what I keep getting. And if I count 40 weeks starting from July 30th it brings me to March 30th. And my tech was really rude because it was late and she was in a hurry. So does that mean I did conceive in the beginning of July? because i had full on unprotected sex and my boyfriend came twice both times on June 29th and July 5th. My last period was on June 8th until the 13th but if I got pregnant in the beginning of july I would be 9 weeks pregnant and I am 9 weeks pregnant as of yesterday. Did that help at all?
..."When i do the math and count back from this week it brings me to the beginning of july" Kyles, it 'brings you to the beginning of July' for what, ovulation?
Here is the conundrum with what you have been saying. As I said, any medical person who tells you a gestational age (i.e., "You're 6 weeks 4 days pregnant") means you're 6 weeks 4 days from the first day of your last period. That's where doctors and nurses and ultrasonographers begin the count. So in telling you precisely that you were 7 weeks 1 day on August 11, that counts back to a first day of your last period of June 22, and by extension, an ovulation date a couple of weeks later, like July 6.
This means that what we have to decide is if you ovulated two weeks later than normal in relation to when you had your actual period (which would account for that period date projected by her equipment being later than reality). Another possibility is that you misunderstood what she was saying, though it doesn't sound like you think you did at all. Another possibility is if she was a bad ultrasonographer unable to tell for sure what she was looking at. (The latter is not at all likely, even if she was vague about your due date. She wouldn't have a job if she could not tell a seventh-week baby from a ninth-week baby. Yet the odd thing is, if she was able to be that exact about your baby's crown-to-rump measurement [saying you were 7w1d], her software should have automatically computed you an estimated due date, not a vague range of a couple of weeks. Unless, of course, her equipment just wasn't that good.) Do you have the ultrasound report from that visit? Does it say GA something on it, and EDD somewhere?
If your periods are irregular, it would explain why the period was earlier than the ultrasound expected. It wouldn't change the due date, but it would explain the difference. But if they are super-regular, that is not likely to be the explanation.
As you say, the stunt with the fingering and all, is much less likely to produce a pregnancy than having unprotected penetrative sex that included ejaculation inside your body. I would still recommend getting a new ultrasound and not just at the hospital but at your ob-gyn.
wait if it was june 22 until the 26th how would i be 9 weeks pregnant? that doesnt add up. today is August 26 and i was 9 weeks as of yesterday. if you count back 9 weeks from today its the beginning of july ?? i would be 10 weeks if that was the case
i wasnt 9 weeks i was 7 weeks when i got the ultrasound. and idk im 9 weeks as of right now like yesterday. like when i do the math and count back from this week it brings me to the beginning of july
is it possible i could of ovulated late? like past june 26th? cuz i really seriously doubt it was the other scenario
When you get your ultrasound, ask them for your GA (how many weeks pregnant you are, which remember the counted from the assumed first day of your last period according to your baby's size) and for your EDD (your estimated due date). From the estimated due date counting backward, it would be 266 days to the presumed ovulation date.
Good luck!
