Falling panic attacks

I panic, I fall hit the ground but crazy enough I get the sensation I am still falling, everything is still but I'm still falling.  My whole lower body goes numb, it always starts with my left leg... it just goes way beyond numb it's as if it doesn't exsist.  I grab things to try to stop the falling sensation but that doesn't help, sometimes it comes in waves and can last more than half an hour.  If I close my eyes it's like I'm not in me, if that makes sense.  Everything is black but yet I get crazy flashes of partial images in crazy colors oh yeah and that happens even when I'm not panicing.  I can't keep my balance at all if I close my eyes while standing.  I can never get up while having an attack unless someone is dragging me.  I have constant numbness now in my left foot on the outside that's new-ish.  But no matter how much I research I can never find anyone that relates to this falling sensation.

I sometimes experience a moving sensation when stressed and anxious.  This happens in the car when it's stationary.  When a vehicle is moving beside me it can leave me feeling a little disoriented.  I know it's not falling but that's the closest I get to relating.
Just wondering if the panic may bring on some sort of visual migraine too.  Not sure.  Sometimes we are still anxious when we feel relaxed.
I would second the doctor's recommendation of having a work up done.

It sounds like what is called a dissociative panic incident.  Even though it sounds like a panic attack, you should have a work up to rule out that this is some form of unusual seizure.
