THIS IS DIRECTED TO 'JB' - from MED HELP INTERNATIONAL

Dear JB,

Please stop posting questions and comments that are offensive.  This forum is place for patients to ask very personal medical questions and receive answers from qualified physicians.  This is not an appropriate place for you to vent your anger toward a medical institution.  The doctors at Henry Ford Health System are supporting this forum as a service to the public.  They do so as their spare time allows.  Med Help International truly appreciates their generosity more than words can express!

If you have a problem with a medical organization, we suggest that you contact them directly.

I did not make a false accusation. I asked what the qualifications were. If you had answered the original question as it was stated, then this whole line of commentary could have been avoided. I have no problem with the physicians at HFHS. As for attempting to contact someone there, whom do you suggest I contact? You may have a direct line in to speak to the person who made the decisions affecting me, but I sure don't.

Dear JB,

We sympathize with your dilema, but our Mental Health Forum is not the appropriate place to lambaste Henry Ford Health System.   This forum is owned by Med Help International - not Henry Ford Health System.   We are a small non-profit organization dedicated to helping patients better understand the diseases with which they have been diagnosed.  Everything we have, we give away free of charge to all who are in need.  The doctors working in our Mental Health Forum are from Henry Ford Health System and their dedication to patients is awe inspiring.  When you insinuate that professionals are not manning our forum,  you cross the line from a "comment" to a false accusation, which could damage our reputation!

We strongly suggest that if you have a problem with Henry Ford Health System, you contact the organization itself to express yourself.  Our forum is not the appropriate place for this.

We wish you all the best.

Best Regards,

I spent friday night volunteering in a homeless shelter. There were 12 men and 3 women who spent the night at our church. I helped serve dinner and breakfast. So I guess the answer to your question is 15.

JB,

You can go to tons of doctors with all sorts of credentials and never get your answers you want or believe. It is especially difficult for doctors to evaluate someone over the internet with no inspection other than the information provided which often is sketchy at best.

I feel lucky to have a place to go to look for information from doctors willing to donate their time to try to help people rather than the greedy ones you pay a fortune for and may not get the help you need.

These doctors should be commended for the efforts to help people with no compensation for their time! I wish more humans in other fields were like that.

How many people have you helped for free lately? Are you a part of the solution or a part of the problem?

I believe I have legitimate questions. If you find my questions offensive that is your reaction to the questions and not the questions themselves that are offensive. I believe that the people using this forum should be able to know what qualifications the person answering the question has. Do you think that is offensive? In my work I am required to post a license and have detailed records of my education available for anyone whom I see as a client and if they ask what my qualifications are I am more than happy to tell them. I was not attemping to offend anyone, but was attemping to find some assistance in what was a very personal and emotional situation for me.  I am sorry if you can't see that.
