bad reaction? or something worse?

Hi I'm a 20 year old female and last night at around 12 my roommate and I smoked a blunt between the 2 of us. My roommate was fine, just a normal high but I had a bizarre reaction. At first I was fine and couldn't stop laughing, but then my heartbeat started pounding and I had a panic attack.  I kept feeling this weird pressure in the back of my head, shaking, and I felt like lead was rushing through my veins.  I also experienced mild hallucinations like my arms being splotchy and visual/audio distortion.  The thing that worries me though is that I woke up this morning and my coordination is a little off, I still have the feeling of pressure in the back of my head, and the feeling of lead rushing through my veins on and off.  Now am I still high just with a bad reaction or could there be something seriously wrong here?

Howdy. The description of your symptoms, and especially how long they lasted, is very similar to an LSD trip. Is there any possibility that you could have ingested something prior to smoking and the development of symptoms, like in a drink or food? It only takes a very small amount of LSD to have a profound effect, which usually begins within around 45 minutes after ingestion, and can last for hours. I've never heard of weed lasting that long or causing the effects you described, but I suppose its possible. If it were me, I would try to recollect anything ingested an hour or so before the unusual symptoms began. Take care, GM

Thank you for responding!

My roommate was perfectly fine: just relaxed and watched a movie.  I wasn't drinking and I'm not on any prescription meds other than what I take for acid reflux.  The one thing that was worrying me most though was that I woke up this morning and was still feeling the effects. Not nearly as serious as they were last night but still there and I didn't really start coming "down" til around about 6.

Hello. From my experience and observations, some people have negative reactions to weed, while others use it for years with no ill effects. Like any street drug, it can be laced with other substances from pesticides to other drugs, when I was in high school angel dust was popular, and I saw a couple of people flip out on it. How did your roomate react? Were you drinking or using anything else, including prescribed meds? Please advise and take care, GM
