obsessive

I am starting to wonder if I have a personality disorder. Whenever I start a new hobby, I obsess over it.  For example I am learning to make jewelry. I get really irritable and impatient when people talk to me.  I would rather be alone thinking.  I search on internet for hours for perfect beads and everything I think about revolves around design ideas.
I actually never like interacting with people, I find it very fatiguing and certain people give me this dreadful feeling.  I never answer the phone.  what is wrong with me?

it's obvious that you are withdrawing from people as a way of coping with your ability to depression.  Your medication may help a bit will not help as much is changing your behavior and working out your fears and sensitivities.  You can do that through psychotherapy or you can do it through a self-help or self-help plus psychotherapy.  I have a program called my virtual shrink images online, inexpensive, and can help you focus on changing those behaviors that you need to become more active in life.  You're a session about your hobby as good qualities to it and as much as is something that you want to do and you can engage your mind but if you do it too much in order to avoid living a larger life, then you are making a mistake

Hello. You may be experiencing some type of ocd or anxiety based disorder. Has this just recently appeared? Have you ever been diagnosed as having such? Are you on any meds? There are a lot of things to consider, as this may be due to several causes. Take care, GM

Yeah I think it is anxiety /ocd based, I have been feeling like this for about 5 years but I have never like interacting with people.  I have been diagnosed with depression and generalized anxiety. Yeah I am on paxil, it seems like its getting worse.

Hello. Are you seeing a therapist in addition to the paxil? Often the combination is a lot more effective. How long have you been taking paxil? Please advise, GM

Hello. Ya, seeing a specialist, or checking out Dr. Goulds site could be beneficial. As far as the paxil, most antidepressants take a few weeks to become fully effective, and this is usually very gradual. Take care, GM
