My mother has a long standing history of depression/anxiety and is presently taking Seroxat 60mg daily. She is experiencing very bad shaking especially in the mornings, and although she has had this to a degree for many years, it has worsened considerably lately. She is also having great trouble sleeping, with constant 'twitching' in her legs and this is adding to her distress. I wonder if this could be attributed to Seroxat, and that maybe a lower dosage could be taken on approval of her doctor.
She was on 40mg up until fairly recently and seemed in general to do quite well on this drug, but lately, for no apparent reason, her anxiety has worsened also.
I would appreciate any advice that you could offer on this.
Thank you
Paxil is an antidepressant, classic ssri type. You can get night sweats with any ssri and weight gain is a definite possiblity with Paxil.
