MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Every symptom except the fever can, and probably is, anxiety. The fever should be considered medically if it persists.

The best thing to do for the anxiety is to look for the source in some aspect of your life by going to therapy or using the online masteringstress program to find the problem(link above).

The other alternative is to ask your doctor for medication to deal with the anxiety like ativan or klonopin.

Sorry didn't mean it to be a question just wanted to respond because your post sounded so much like the story of my life in the post month.  I too find it hard to beleive that it can anxiety related because I feel in fog all day.  And I feel completed exhausted yet I can still play hockey just as I did before.

Thanks Happy still I started zoloft at 25mg for a week and then went to 50 mg after that.  I haven't really felt any side effects that I know of.

I was tired before I started the Zoloft.  I don't know about the spitting up blood maybe its something not related but did you try any other meds.  Have you ever tried any benzodiazepines to see if it releived any of your symptoms.  I try not to take any in the day just when I go to bed at night but when I have tried them during the day it seems to make me feel better and there only .5 mg.  Well keep us informed.  Hope you feel better.

Therapy usually starts to help out farther then one session into it and usually you don't even realize it.  I thought a 50mg dose is extremely high to start with.  Are you comfortable with that?  I think a second opinion might be your best bet.  Was your counselor comfortable with 50 mg to start out with?  If you are thinking about your symptoms all day you are stressing - read, anxiety.  Whatever you do, don't quit cold turkey.  Even this short into it probably requires weaning at a very slow rate.  These drugs are tricky because of the very immediate chemical dependency your body may have - not addictive, chemically dependent, big difference.  I imagine if you continue counseling and you maintain some level of Zoloft or Paxil etc., you will see things brighten up.  Please don't dwell.  Get some really good techniques from your counselor to fight this habit you have fallen into of dwelling on your bodily symptoms, especially if your tests are coming out normal.  Anxiety begets anxiety.  The more you stress the less your body can fight it.  My doctor gave me this analogy for stressing.  You get a cold, then you get a sinus infection, then you get that virus going around, pretty soon, your immunity system is so low that you can't fight anything well.  Same with stress, your system is so low of the fighting elements whether that be adequate coping skills or the normal release of healthy chemicals in your body that you are completely prone.  Add a life habit like exercise, walking to change your course and give your body something good for it.  I hope these help.  They absolutely helped me.  Peace!

I'm a 32 male also.  Have absolutely no stress in my life.  And also have alot of symptoms you are having lightheadness, feeling of being in a fog all day, shaking of fingers all day sometimes gets worse, lower stomach pains (below naval), and lower pack pains and insominia.  It all started in Janauary when I was diagnosed with the flu and at that time thought I might have HIV.  I have seen four doctors including a neurologist Ran blood test which all came out fine.  Had a 2 lyme Disease, Hiv test, uranalysis, and few other tests which all came out negative.  Everyone of the doctors thinks I should take some antidepressant So I started taking 50mg of Zoloft for 3 weeks now.  It hasn't helped yet but supposebly it takes around 3-4 weeks to kick in.  I just can't come to beleive that this is all caused by anxiety.  I have never had any problems of this in the past.  Whenever a run one test and it comes out negative I start thinking it may be something else.  I have so much trouble getting up and going to work.  Even when I am at work I never do anything besides the neccessary work. So most of the day I spend thinking of how bad I feel.  I also starting seeing a therapist for the first time yesterday but it didn't help me much.  Please someone tell my this is just anxiety and I will get over it.

Hi

(I'm not a doctor and know squat by the way)

As part of the bunch of stuff I got with PTSD I used to flip quite a lot into almost dream states, or dreamy ways of looking at things, especially when triggered by stress when outside. Sometimes, but not always, it would be accompanied by other PTSD symptons - including physical symptoms similar to yours. As other symptoms subsided over time (less freq, less severe), so did this.

I've no idea what's happening to you, and mention this only to empathise really. I'm NOT suggesting PTSD, or anything similar. Have you thought about seeing a specialist in these disorders? In the UK our psychiatrists generally haven't a clue in this area. Btw, In the UK anxiety leads to the hard sell on paxil - if this is suggested I'd recommend checking out the facts on paxil effects for yourself first.

Good luck!
