It's gonna be ok kelliebellie. Look here's the deal, 37.5Mgs a day of Effexor is the absolute smallest effective amount. This is good news if you want to stop because people who are taking lower dosages of Effexor usually have an easier time with discontinuation.
I used to take 350Mgs a day of Effexor for 5 years. So you see, I'm still living and you will be ok too.
First thing; We need to step back and re-evaluate the situation first. If you want to stop Effexor fine, I can show you how. First lets look at the reasons why your wanting to stop Efffexor.
So first question> Exactly why do you want to stop Effexor?
Hi again, I am not an expert on SSRI'S but do know from my own experience that very slow tapering is the way to get off one. Your Dr. disgusts me by ignoring you and giving you such advice in this Blah Blah way. Without insurance you can get free help through the county health department. They can direct you to programs that are no cost. Also if you went to the emergency room they have to treat you with or without insurance. Its the law. I am a bit confused as to why the Dr wanted you to stop the effexor in the first place. If it works for you you should be on it. Always reach out like you are now. You are not alone.
