Other drugs your MD might consider for you would be Wellbutrin or Remeron.  They aren't usually associated with sexual side effects, or not nearly as bad.

Paxil is associated with a discontinuation syndrome.  To minimize this, taper the dose slowly and gradually.  You can ask your doctor to recommend a taper schedule. Also, ask your doctor about other medications without sexual side effects.

im a nurse and i have been on paxil since i was 13. the no sex drive thing stinks. going off paxil is really hard. i wish i never started it. the side effects with quitting are extreme.(vivid dreame, extreme emotional swings,nausa,weakness,dizziness,migranes,weight gain. the list goes on) did you consider another drug? some of the birth control pills help depression and anxiety. there are some other drugs out there with less side effects like cymbalta,zoloft,lexapro,celexa,buspar,. you need cut down the dosage slowly and start a new drug. i have tried some other ones but have not given them a chance im dependant on my paxil. did you notice with paxil if you drink you get drunk way quicker too?
