Xanax made me feel crazy, but I can take the Klonopin wafer (dissolves under the tongue) without that xanax-type craziness!  You might ask your doctor about a different anxiety drug.

By the way, did you make it ok at work?  I don't know why so many work environments are so awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am sorry yours is that way!

De-stress when you get home if you can  .... a short walk, read a chapter of a good book, watch 30 minutes of mindless TV, take a hot shower to relax those tense shoulder muscles, etc.  Let us hear how you are!

I was looking at your post from Dec 9th, have you being diagnosed with Bipolar as you mentioned you were on some BP drugs. I have BP and anxiety associated with it as well. I can understand your anxiety, I go back to work by April, even the thought makes my stomach go in knots. I hate the company I work for, their "Nazis", you always have to be on your toes, the listen to most of my calls and I never seem to be able to do anything right. I found out through a work buddy that 4 of my buddies have been fired, and they are good workers, many of the people I work with have quit too. But I am terrified to get a new job and they won't give references to anyone.

What BP meds were you on? I was told by my pdoc that if may take trying different drugs to get it right. I also use Seroquel, and boy oh boy has it helped with my anxiety, it's down to a dull roar most of the time.  I used to get massive tension headaches, I don't get them any more. Lithium is a very good drug, it's been around for 50 yrs and it's standard protocol, it works best with another mood stabilizer if you have anxiety I was diagnosed by a pdoc I pdoc I saw in 1999 diagnosed me with MDD and anxiety. The meds he gave me didn't fully work, I always had persistent moderate depression, they call it Dysthemia. I was diagnosed BP after having  major depression and a hypomanic episode.

It's extremely important to tell your pdoc every little thing, it helps with meds and a plan to get you feeling well.

I hope you mean 0.50 Mgs Xanax (as in 1/2 Mg) and not 50Mgs as you stated.

50Mgs could put someone in a coma.

I hate my job too. I think most of us do. I feel like you a lot. Wish I could just vanish.
Sunday nights are alway the worst for my depression and anxiety because I know it's soon Monday again and time to do it all over again.

Wake up, go to work, come home, eat, go to sleep, then back to the grind again the next day. On and on it goes. Got to put on that fake smile and muddle thru the day.

Being wealthy wouldn't make me happy, but not having to work sure would make dealing with this condition one hell of a lot easier.
