Constant Belching! Help

I am a 58 yr. old woman and for approx. 2 years I have suffered belching almost nonstop all day long. It doesn't occur at night but immediately upon getting up it starts again. Also have associated burning pain in upper left of my back if the gas gets too much and won't come out.. Heartburn pain only occasionally and no acid or taste.

Since I started taking Prilosec, now Previcid due to insurance reasons, my belching has stopped.  Consider talking to your doctor about Acid Reflux or GERD.

I have similar problem and no tests have helped.  Have suggestion to stay away from all carbonated beverages (colas especially), coffee, beer, and chocolates.  Prilosec helps a bit if your doctor will perscribe it for you. I'm starting to believe its a bacterial or fungal problems that need to be cleaned out. Hope your doctor can help you.
