Has anyone else had this problem

Hello,

I am writing in behalf of my husband.  When he has a B/M it sometimes is just blood clots this has been going on for about a month or maybe a little longer.  I can't get him to go to the doctor because we are working in the Virgin Islands and neither one of us like the doctor's over here, we should be finished mid April so he is wanting to wait until we get back home to go to the doctor.  Also when he gets finished eating something, anything really big or small meal he has to go and have a B/M or it sometimes is just the blood clots, but he has to go right then and there he can't hold it at all.  My husband is only 27 years old and has never had any medical problems he has never been in the hospital.  If you or someone that you know has had these problems please let me know so that we will have an idea of what the problem might be.  Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

Don't wait to seek medical attention.  Seek out a good island doctor.  Better safe now, then sorry later.  Best of luck.

ANY bleeding like this should be investigated immediately, I'm sorry to say..  Don't want to panic you, but you really should have him get it checked out asap.  I don't know about clots, but I know bright red blood usually means the bleeding is somewhere in the intestines; dark red, almost black, blood (like coffee grinds) indicates possible bleeding in the stomach (internal bleeding) that can be very serious.

He has already waited a while so I can see why he wouldn't think it was urgent, but it really may need immediate attention.  I feel bad for you; if it were my husband I would  1) be pretty nervous about the whole thing and 2) want to kill him for not going!

Good luck with this, I hope it turns out to be something simple.
