Do you have a lump or soft spot in your naval. I had an ambilical hurnia for many years and didn't know. I thought it was normal to have a shooting pain in your naval. Just a thought.
I wonder if it could be your appendix? I had surgery about 15 years ago for an ovarian cyst. Then it was common practice to remove your appendix "while in there". My Drs were shock to find my appendix badly scarred from a previous appendicitis attack - I had no clue I ever had one. That would give you pain around your belly button. Most only think it is the lower right side.
I have been experiencing bad belly button pain from the time that I was little. It hurts more now. What do I do?
Look at my post on the above question by auntfufu. I know your pain. I too have a very high pain tolerence. This pain didn't even go away with high doses of pain meds. The pain would start and I would just start sweating like crazy from everywhere. Sometimes I'd force myself to throw up to help relieve the pressure. It worked for a few minutes.
Thanks for the suggestion. I guess I should've stated that I watch everything I eat. I am also on Nexium. I was previously on Previcid. I have had to watch my diet since my 20's.
