Is It My Gallbladder or Liver?

Hi...I'm female & 50...have the following symptoms and don't know if they could all be related somehow.    For the last few days, I've been having a low-grade temp of l00 and chills. The fever only comes at evening around 6:00 pm, then returns to normal in morning. Yesterday I took a small swipe of some white icing off a cake and about 2 hrs later, had to get to a bathroom fast, had some gas, too.  Also, I have these tiny red bumps over my forehead and right side of face--I always had clear porcelain skin before.  I'm thinking there might be some toxins in my system?  Could gall bladder disease do this?  Thanks so much for your help!  O.G.

I have been going thru test for the last "10" months!! It take forever to find out what's wrong!! I had to change doctors, because she did not take my complaints seriously!! I have a lot of your same problems!! Finally today, after many blood test, ulta sounds and "two" C.T.s, I found out it is my Liver!!! Now I have to go to a Liver Doctor!!! I have some kind of "Autoimmune Hepatitis"!! It is a fairly "new disease"- it mainly affects woman in there 40's, 50's and 60's!! The American Liver Foundation has a lot of information on the subject and I have been reading up on it!! Thank goodness for the Computer!! At last I do not feel alone anymore!!!
Good Luck in finding out what's wrong!!!!

My dad has had similar systoms.  He would vomit after eating and have severe diaheria. He would have sweats and sometimes faint.
He would have to raise his legs above his head to get his blood pressure up again.

His doctor said that he was having heart arythemia.  His doctor had him go through a tilt-table test.  He was also having vaso-vacal reations when his heart was out of rythym.  One time he had to have his heart shocked back into normal rythym.  Most times the weather is hot and after physical exercise.

Not trying to scare you but just to have you check if heart is ok.

It's alittle difficult to answer your question. I am a triage nurse and would need to know alot more information to give you a good answer.
Your symptoms sound like your stomach just did not agree with the icing.
Now if the symptoms persist and you continue to have abd pain with or without gas or have any other abd symptoms like diarrhea, constipation, N/V you will need to be seen. Especially if they symptoms occur after eating food (especially fatty food).
Not sure about the rash on the forehead. Again it sounds unrelated and does not appear as a symptom of gallbladder problems.
I am currerntly having gallbladder problems and I can tell you that I do have constant abd pain, sometimes nausea/vomiting/diarrhea/constipation (it depends on the day), I have itching without a rash that is new and can possibily be related to my gallbladder, and a low grade fever like yours. My temp is always between 99.4F-100.0F. Again if your low grade fevers persist I would also contact your MD. IF you remain concerned it is always a good idea to give your MD a call.

I think i have similar symptons and really don't know what to think.  Last week i thought i caught a stomach flu w/ a fever and vomitting.  The last 4 days have been very unusaul because sometimes i do and sometimes i don't have diarhea, i can vommit at will (regurgatate?)after eating, breaking out in sweats in the middle of the night, excess slavia and have very painful abdominal attacks.

I am having my 1st physcical in 10 years on the 15th and thinking about waiting until then, however this is really getting uncomfortable and annoying.

I began training for a Duathlon (similar to a triathalon) in October and beginning to wonder if this has any cause and efect.

Any thoughts.

I am really not sure about your question but I can tell you about what it was like for me before I had my gallbladder removed.
I started getting nausea alot. It kept me from going to school and doing daily activities. The docotrs could not figure it out until I had an ultrasound for something else and they found I had gallstones. I got alot of pain in the middle of my lower ribs and over to the right side a bit. That is the only things I experienced. I also know they checked my liver too because with my gallbladder being inflammed and gallstones, it can affect your liver if aswell but mine was fine.
Its been 2 months and now I have no nausea anymore. I also has to cut out alot of foods before the surgery because it would make me nauseaous. I ate only bland foods. Rice, chicken, fishetc.
Sorry it doesn't answer your question but I just wanted to give you some info on the gallbladder liver thing.
goodluck! You should see your doctor about this and don't wait to long.
