My sister has IBS and she gets terrible pains like you describe but I think the best thing would be to see a gastroenterologist. They specialize in stomach disorders just to be on the safe side and maybe they'll be able to prescribe you some medication that will help with the pain and cramping.
Best of luck to you,
Jennifer
After the birth of my 1st child i had horrible attacks in my upper abd area. I went to the ER they ran tests sent me home. I again had two more went to my family physican...she ordered blood work. I had gallbladder disease. Removed my gallbladder it was 3/4 full of stones. The pain was worse then labor. Stay on those dr. if you have it going on still. its not fun, maybe request blood work to be done, just in case. I have heard its common for women to have gallbladder problems after a birth. Good Luck and God Bless!
Keep on the doctors. Go to a gastronologist. I have been having problems for 3 years. Chronic diaherra, pain in my lower right abdomen. I was diagnosed with IBS. I do not think that is it. I was hospitalized over the weekend and they told me I had a stone in my appendix. They also siad this could not be causing my pain. I believe I have a stone in a bile duct. Keep going to the doctors until you are satisified. If anyone has information reagrding bile duct stones, please email me at ***@****
I had my gallblader removed a few months ago. I have had problems before but now it seems worse. I have to use the bathroom 5 to 6 times a day and it is usaully diarrhea. This is effecting my life daily. It affects my job,I need to get up and run to the bathroom during meetings etc. It is real embarrasing. Do you have any suggestions on what to do? I have seen a doctor and he says it could be IBS but I really have not got any real help from him. I see that the drug Questan has been used what is this drug and would it help with the diarrhea. I don't go to certain functions with my family because I am afraid I will have a accident since I can't control myself. Please help. Thank you
