If it eases the frustration at all... I am in the exact same situtation.
I have been experiencing chronic sinus infections for about 10 years and also
having reflux for many years. I have pain in my chest as if my muscles
were sore and even out through my back. I usually have episodes in which
I have post nasal drip, blood in my nose, etc. accompanied by reflux.
My doctor to this day insists that it is coincidental that the reflux and
sinus problems occur simulataneously. But I have recently found out this
is incorrect. My brother who has the same symptoms recently saw an ENT
(Ears Nose Throat) specialist who indicated that reflux often cause severe
sinus problems. My brother was treated for both reflux as well as sinus
infection. I myself am experiencing these same symptoms for the past 6 weeks.
It is very frustrating to me that none of my symptoms are being relieved.
If I were you, I'd ask your doctor for a referral to an ENT Specialist.
