Hepatitis Relapse?

Two months ago I was very sick with alcoholic hepatitis. My enzyme levels were through the roof. I did everything I was supposed to: eat right, drank green teas, lots of water, absolutely no alcohol. I was feeling better every day. All the sudden three days ago I started feeling badly again. It has gotten progressively worse and worse. It feels just like it did the first time. Is it possible that I had a relapse even though none of the factors from the first time are involved this time? I am not jaundiced, but my skin itches, I have restless leg syndrome, confusion, fatigue and dizziness. I have no health insurance or I would definitely have gone to the doctor. I'm just looking for opinions and suggestions. Thank you very much for taking a moment for me! :o)

I thought I should explain a little more about the folic acid.  If you were drinking a lot of liquids you could have been washing out the supply of vitamins you had in your body and caused a folic acid anemia.  Anemia can make you feel weak and dizzy.  When you drink a lot of liquids it is a good idea to take a multivitamin or try to increase vitamin rich foods in your diet.

It is only speculation on my part since I am not a doctor but it sounds like you are low on a vitamin called folic acid.  Try eating some green leafy vegetables for a couple of days. There is a blood test that checks for low folic acid.  Good luck.
