tummy trouble continued

I started having trouble with Diarrhea almost a month ago.  It was accompanied by swollen glands in my groin and nausea.  It was pretty bad for close to a week.  I went to the doctor, had some bloodwork done (came back normal)and got a prescription to settle my stomach.  It cleared up in about 4 days.  about a week after that I had a sudden attack of diarrhea and vomiting so bad I went emergency.  They too ran bloodwork and gave me a prescription to ease my stomach.  They concluded the two incodents were not related and that this time it was food poisoning.  I thought it was possible since I had eaten out twice that day.  Since then I have been fine until this monday.  Diarrhea again, I took imodium and did not have a bowl movement until this morning.  It was soft but not diarrhea. However I still have a terrible bloating feeling with some nausea and feel like my glands are begining to swell again.  I also seem to be getting slight hot flashes with slight headaches.  What do you recommend.  I had two different people take blook and both came back normal.  However I do not really know what they test for.  Both times I asked and they just said viral infection.

Not sure if my last went though so here it is again.

In looking up colitis it does not say anything about swollen glands or some of the other symptoms?

Further tests to evaluate for colitis can be done.

This can include sending the stool off for culture and analysis, obtaining a CT scan or undergoing a colonoscopy.

Based on these results, the decision on whether to start antibiotics can be made.

I would discuss these options with your personal physician.
