Esophageal cancer, spots on lungs and diabetes.

My 73 year old father has Esophageal cancer.  The doctors noticed spots on his liver during one of his tests. He also has diabetes. Will this interfere with any of the treatments ahead? Many smaller things seem to affect his diabetes.  Will the chemo and radiation affect it?  Do you know mortality rates for cancer like this?? Are there stages that I can expect as things progress? Are there any herb or vitamins that would help?

what is the group you are talking about? EC list?

my husband had an esophagectomy in 2000, he has abdominal pain all of the time, it is worse when he eats. we have gone through every test and cannot get to the bottom of it.

he now has numbness of the jaw and both arms and hands (which is new and lasted at least three days). He has had 14 dilations and is really worn out.

we have every CT scan scheduled, another barium swallow and a echocardiogram

there are also cysts on his liver, but they say this isn't an issue.

any advise?
