So what do you feed your dog?
Just saw your post on the westie. I had mine allergy tested and was the best money ever spent. Was feeding her ZD and wondered what the allergies were still there. After the test realized it was from her treats.

WOW Roger!!!! Love your web page.....Everyone needs to read it...Thanks for sharing, Karla
Does anyone know the outcome for he Westie that the post was about?
Our Westie may be allergic to some food items, regardless of how clean an digestible. Still working on that one.
I've had a Labradoodle and Goldendoodle stay over many times and they eat Pedigree can food every night (one can each) and Dry Kibble, usually one of the "popular" brands. I have even given them O'Roy just for variety when they ran out of the supplied Pedigree. They seem to get along fine with all - so far anyway.
We feed our Westie 4Health from Tractor Supply and Taste of the Wild Grain Free Kibble. Both are Salmon and Sweet Potato, plus other good and identified stuff... still he has feet and leg problems to the point of loss of hair, which he may have licked or chewed off himself.
Good post,
Just want to add that these five companies probably contributed 90% of all dog food manufactured in the United States. All also had formula recalls in the 2007 Melamine poison scandal and should be avoided, many of the ingredients are terrible:
Mars Inc.: (Pedigree, Cesar, Goodlife Recipe, Whiskas, Royal Canin, Royal Canin Veterinary Care Nutrition, Royal Canin Veterinary Therapeutic Formulas).
Ol' Roy is manufactured by Mars.
Nestlé SA: (Purina, Purina One, Alpo, Beneful, Beneful Healthy Harvest, Busy Bone, Chew-rific, Deli-Cat, Dog Chow, Fancy Feast, Friskies, Gourmet Gold, Mon Petit, HiPro, Kibbles and Chunks, Kit ‘N Kaboodle, Mighty Dog, Purina Pro Plan, TBonz, Purina Veterinary Diets, Whisker Lickin’s).
Colgate-Palmolive: (Hill’s Science Diet, Hill’s Prescription Diet).
Procter & Gamble: (Eukanuba, Iams, Iams Veterinary Formulas, Eukanuba Veterinary Diets).
Del Monte Foods: (Meow Mix, Kibbles n’ Bits, 9Lives, Milo’s Kitchen, Milk-Bone, Pup-Peroni, Pounce, Gravy Train, Jerky Treats, Canine Carry Outs, Snausages, Nature’s Recipe (Cat and Dog), Alley Cat and Meaty Bone).

It would be hard to find a worst or more dangerous brand of dog food than Ol' Roy but Pedigree and Purina aren't far behind.
I wrote a page on Ol' Roy on my website http://www.bestcatanddognutrition.com/?cat=47

OL'Roy made my dog very sick to the point that he had kidney FAILURE he had to stay at the Vet for two days and have fluids giving to him
.STOP SELLING THIS DOG FOOD OL'ROY
One serving of ANY food DID NOT cause this.....Also, it is not your fault! Something undetected was already going on for this to happen.....I'm still hoping that your guy will rally & come around! I'm praying for you both...Please, let us know what happens.....Karla
Actually I haven't feed my dog with that owfull food from OL Roy. It happens just once.My dog always ate Ceasar dry/wet but started to dislike once an a while. So I decided to buy just once something else. And this what happend.Looks like I will pay a big price for that choice because looks like my westie will be dead.
My Westie is 10 years old and has never been sick once. Always very playfull energectic and very very sweet.
Thank you for your comments but I don't think I will need them anymore when my westie go away.
I can't afford anymore drama and have any other dog.
Thank you
Welcome....I'm SO sorry to read this.....There's so many dangerous ingredients (Poisons) in Ol Roy food that I am not surprised by this.....What I don't understand is why anyone would serve it! You get what you pay for with dogfood just as you do for human food.....Yes, I'm sure this has happened thousands of times & unfortunately to others right now......I feel so bad for your beautiful guy......If only people would study up on what their putting in their dog's mouths......You don't say how old he is, but if you have fed these low quality foods his whole life, then my quess is they have finally taken their toll & the Ol Roy was just the final straw....I'm not trying to be ugly here, just trying to state facts.....Please let us know what happens......
Here are a few articles: There are many complaints.....Your consumer affairs link says it all.....I'm praying for a recovery for him.......Karla

Here, you will find our Bad Dog Food List. These commercial dog food brands are, in our opinion, the worst dog foods on the market!
We give them a disgusted 0 Scoops!
Our personal recommendation is that you take a good look at these dog food names and memorize them.
Now! Tuck your tail between your legs and run for the hills!
These dog foods contain the worst dog food ingredients you will find! They are comprised mainly of by-products; carcinogenic flavors and preservatives; cheap, unhealthy fillers, and ... Heaven only knows what else!
In addition, we have no respect for the philosophy of these pet food companies. In our opinion, they are clearly dedicated to their bottom line with a total disregard for the health and well-being of our beloved furry companions.
They are truly a far cry from the best dog foods available!
It is highly unlikely that any of these awful supermarket brands on our list of Bad Dog Foods will be carried or recommended by any respectable, independent dog food store.
