Sanitizing for dog dander?

How do I sanitize my place after having a dog stay with us? I'm highly allergic to dog dander.

Ok, if you are allergic,why did you watch the dog? :-)
Aside from that, if you have a vacuum with a HEPA filter, vacuum your carpets and furniture and discard.
Mop any floors you can.
If you have ant type if steam cleaner, steam your furniture.
If the dog was on the beds, wash the linens.
Get some warm water and wash down the baseboards..
Wear a mask while you are doing this.
May not get all of it but certainly most if it.

Maddie, it is the dander, not necessarily the fur one can be allergic to.  True,some  me breeds would generate less than some but there really are no hypoallergenic dogs. :-)

You are a good friend, and it sounds as though you may be wanting a dog. There are the breeds who have hair vs fur... Have you explored that option?

So I ended up getting a rescued Terrier mix! Zero allergies! Amazing!

Ah yes. Thanks so much. This really helps!!  I did it as a favor to a friend, as well as a test to see if I could withstand having a dog around. Got my answer :)
