Whoo hoo!!!!! Maybe she just needed to cleanse out...ya know???LOL
My son has your type of breed, they are pretty big fellows...and wonderful babies...
If she ever ends up running again, you can give pepto bismal pink stomach medicine, over the counter stuff, it helps settle the stomach quicker...just like adults...I got one Chi that goes thru the bowel stuff once a month, what a mess, so I let him have just a little and within a day we are back on track....
Great news....most of luck to you and yours....
hiya yeah she is good i fed her then watched as she crouched in the garden haha i wont go into details but what came out was perfect!!! so touch wood she is on the mend like i said she is a really funny character maybe she has been upset cause she pooped in the kitchen???? as we speak she is curled up on my feet (god knows how a 33kg weimeraner can make her self so small) thanks for your concern have a great day

Just as I am writing this, my Siberian husky just finished eating grass and barfed it up just outside the door (sorry for the gross word). All my dogs do the same thing but she is the only one that doesn't look embarrassed about it.
If you think she is ill in any way, take her to the vet. A lot of dogs eat grass to "cleanse" their insides but if you're like I am - somewhat overprotective LOL - take her to the vet.
Hugs to you both ....

So hows the little friend today???
hiya how are you doing?
yeah she eats it outside and then is sick outside, she has never been a big drinker but nothing has changed with her habits i just feel so sorry for her i dont want her to be sad i dont think she is ill but it musn be nice 4 her as shes a very clean dog
Is your dog eating grass when she goes outside? Is she drinking like usual? Wouldn't want her to get dehydrated.
Our dogs eat grass too and then either vomit it up or have diarrhea for while after. According to every vet I've spoken to, this is "natural" cat and dog behavior. It's their way of cleansing themselves. The first time it happened, I nearly freaked out but now we just keep an eye on them. If you find her "messes" near the back door it seems to indicate that she knows she has to go.
If the vomiting and diarrhea continue, take her to the vet.
Let us know how you both are doing.
lonewolf
yeah she is fully vaccinated and up to date
If your dog has diarrhea especially with a history of blood in it, she needs a fecal sample examined for parasites and certain bacteria.
Initially, withholding all but water for a short period of time is a good idea, and then introduce things like boiled chicken and plain rice. However, if the diarrhea is persistent, your dog needs to be seen as soon as possible.
I'm assuming the dog is fully vaccinated, of course?
thanks for your help she has had blood in her stools before now but the vet told me to starve her for 24hrs which seemed to work although the runny stools stayed there, she doesn seem ill in herself still playful, drinkkin water, wanting walkies etc, she only went in the kitchen when she had the poops real bad it was all over the kitchen!!! she was devastated i have been told james welbeloved food is excellent so mite try that i had her on dry complete for sensitive stomachs then moved onto butchers wet they all seem to work for a few months then her tummy goes silly again maybe its time for some vet help
Dog usually eat grass like w/take an laxitive, to get a cleansing out...but, it doesn't last a long time, or they eat grass cause they are requiring an additional nutrient missing from thier intake of food....
Does the runny stool has a stinch odor different than any other time the stool was loose?
Dogs can take a little amount of pink pepto bismal....
Try the pepto bismal and a bland diet for a day or two and see if the dog stops the runs and the stool will still look very sticky like peanut butter, then start w/soft food, then mixed soft w/hard, and see if the stool get better. Thats what I do....
My soft diet would be cottage cheese mixed w/a good brand soft dog food for 2 days..
But, if there is water, mucos, blood tinge, or very stinch odor, you must go to the vet immediately, for there are many reasons for your symptoms....
Worms, distemper, gardia, etc...all life threatening issues...Have you called the vet yet??
And, maybe shes wanting out to use the potty and night, thats why at the back door, and just set your alarm clock and let her out once a night, maybe shes sick right now...
She probably feels real bad using in the house, knowing she potty trained, like us if we gotta go we gotta go, and her knowing she potty in house, makes a dog feel stress cause they believe they did so bad wrong, but, she can't get out, ya know??? The stress will also keep her sick longer...
Just lots of suggestions/opinions, and do hope this issue will resolve for you and yours, much luck to you, and hope for you the best, give your pet a big hug for me!
Please keep us posted on your outcome.....
