I'm so sorry to hear about your dog.  Not sure if we were in the same boat, but had a pound puppy with Cushings.  He may not have been as far along as his primary symptoms were hair loss and an large stomach.  Anyway he lasted over six quality years on Lysodren which suppressed his adrenal gland production until cancer took him.  Good luck at the vet.

Is it definate he has Cushings?  Usually with Cushings they can't stop peeing.  They can  also have trouble walking, which comes and goes.  Has he had a Cushings test?
