Dizziness question

For my son, dizziness has always been a mild symptom and completely under control with fludrocortisone.  His main symtpom/problem has always been nausea, until last week.  Now dizziness is a big problem, and the fludrocortisone is not taking care of it(even after increasing the dosage).

He says he feels much more dizzy if he moves to the left or turns his head to the left.  It is much milder when moving to the right or turning his head to the right.  He also feels like he is being pulled to the left when he walks.  

Does anyone else experience their dizziness in this way?

Christy,  I am sorry your son is feeling worse. I do experience dizziness this way often. I am told mine is caused from ms though. Could he have an inner ear problem? I know my daughter has ear problems and she experiences this when turning her head. Hope he feels better soon.

I have also had a lot of problems with dizziness. Florinef was really helpful, but I still have other dizziness symptoms that are different from your son's. Since you said it gets worse when he turns his head to the left or moves to the left, it makes me think it might be Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo or even a vestibular weakness. An Ear Nost Throat doctor can test for both of these. If it is BPPV, there is a simple manuever he could do that would fix the dizziness. I hope this helps and I hope he gets better soon!
