I'm guessing I need a Neurologist?

Happy Friday everyone!
We're getting pounded here in the Northeast with some tropical storm...I lost track of the names but it's a powerful one.  Hope you all are staying dry!

Anyway...I've been trying to keep too many cooks out of the kitchen but I'm guessing having a Neurologist is pretty essential for us?  To remind you...I got diagnosed with NCS in June after a tilt table test, but I really want to know if anything else is going on.  My Cardiologist is doing his best to help me but I have this gnawing feeling that I should be seeing a Neurologist too.

At what point did you all get one?  Or is that where you started?
Thanks :)
Stephanie

Hi There,
Sounds like that Cardiologist was pretty useless so good riddance!  Actually he probably did you a favor by sending you to the Neurologist and not wasting your time.  You're probably seeing exactly who you need to be seeing.  I think I really need to go to one.  I don't think I'm going to stop seeing the Cardiologist for now.  I guess it's just something about the diagnosis of NCS that is what makes me think I need the Cardiologist in my arsenal...but I'm not sure if this one is the right one.  So far, he's not wowing me like the Endocronologist who sent me to him.  Actually he wanted to send me to a different Cardiologist but he wanted me to see someone the same day and his recommended guy wasn't available so he said my current Cardilogist was ok too.

One thing I've learned from going thru a few therapists...sometimes you just don't fit right with some docs...whether they're therapists, or Cardiologist, or Neurologists and you just don't have to settle for one who isn't quite helping.  I might have to more on to another Cardiologist and I know one Neurologist I won't be seeing.  I saw one a while back for headaches and didn't like him at all.

Thanks for writing...I hope you and your son have a great weekend...and the rest of your family too!

My son has always been treated by a neurologist.  He was diagnosed with 'autonomic dysfunction' by a cardiologist who gave us a years prescription for fludrocortisone and sent us on our way with no other info.  So, we don't have a cardiologist treating my son for this, only a neurologist and gastroenterlogist.  The neurologist is the one who gave my son the tilt table test and all other testing.

At this point, I don't feel the need to have a cardiologist for Cody.
