To all you POTSIES out there, to what degree do you get shortness of breath if at all?

When I walk more than 2kms I get short of breath now? Do you guys get anything like this?

I'm going to answer because no one else has left you a response yet, but I want you to take my answer with more than a grain of salt ... maybe take it with a giant salt lick! Because I no longer have a POTS diagnosis. I have a progressive condition, generalized dysautonomia, so this is not reflective of what you should expect from your illness. (I really do NOT want to scare all my favorite POTSies here!!)

Most days, I cannot walk 100 ft without being out of breath. I use a rollator walker to walk short distances, and my service dog wears special pulling gear on his harness so if I get on ground that's uphill I can switch his leash over to the pulling gear and he can pull my walker and I forward/uphill which takes some of the strain off me. (He's 85 lbs and quite strong.) For longer distances or lengths of time on my feet, I have a power wheelchair with tilt/recline. This gives me freedom to ambulate on my own and recline the chair as needed if I get lightheaded or dizzy. There are custom clamps on the chair that hold my service dog's leash to keep my hands free.

2 km = 6500 ft = 1.2 miles

I'm guessing most of our US guests will need this conversion for reference!!
