Thanks for all your input, great site NOT to be on

No one even replied after almost a week, thanks.  And, I'm desperate.

Oh well, try another site that is more in tune to their members.

I to had an MRI.  This was of my adrenal glands and I was found to have a tumour their.  This was suspected to be a Pheochromocytoma - please look on the website pheochromocytoma.org as this to can cause all the symptoms you are having and causes high bp also.

This condition can also mimic POTS.  This type of tumour does not always show up on MRI/CT scans and special scans are needed to find them but they can be found by having 24hr urine tests done for catecholamines, metanephrines and VMA are fairly standard in the beginning stages of a diagnosis.  In some cases, unless an individual has an episode during collection, the urine test could be negative, even with a pheochromocytoma present. There is a blood test available which tests Plasma Metanephrines and Catecholamines, which has been approved for diagnosis of pheochromocytoma. Some people believe that because of the high sensitivity of the plasma free metanephrines test and the low incidence of the tumor, that plasma free metanephrines should be carried out as the first test. If that is not available, then the next best test is urinary fractionated metanephrines - but not urinary TOTAL metanephrines. Both tests may be combined with measurements of plasma or urinary catecholamines.

If these tests have not been done maybe you should ask for them to be done.

These growths are more commonly found on the adrenals but can be found elswhere in the body.

We here understand your desperation most of us are still searching for answers to our health problems.  We will walk this walk with you, you are not alone.  Do not give up hope as the answers lie somewhere x

You said "I'm scared to death, and don't know where to turn" and I'm so sorry you are going thru this ordeal, I cannot help you but I can tell you that when I have had problems that I feel there is no one to help, I turn to prayer, I do not know if you are religious or not, but that helps me feel like I'm not alone, a lot of times we do not know why things happen to us and things like this are very overwhelming, but when no one else can help you I believe that God can, I always believe in saying that "where medicine ends that's where God begins".

I too I'm not well but without my faith and my praying I don't know where I would be.

Wishing you healing and that you will find some answers soon.

IT doesn't matter what position I'm in, I get rapid heart rate in any position.  Three times, I've had to go to the emergency room, because my pulse was so rapid, that it was dangerous, and I was throwing PVC's.  They put me on a blood pressure med to keep my heart from "running away."  Now, the cardiologist said I have a "stiff" heart, whatever THAT means, and put me on a diuretic.  He also said that it doesn't go into the relaxed mode.

I've had some hormone tests done, but all the endocrinologists I've been to just keep doing the same tests over and over and over.  I've had thyroid tests, which I'm already taking thyroid meds for hypothyroidism, they do the TSH 3-4, urine for the pre-diabetes, and tested for estrogen levels, which I found to be ironic, since I went through menopause years ago, and my estrogen levels are probably very low or non existent!!

Sorry about being so aggressive, I'm just so sick, that I honestly feel like I'm about to die.  They just called me and said that one blood test they did found a "tracer" indicating a positive for cancer in my abdominal area.  They did an MRI, and said there are spots on my liver, (I have never drank, and my Hep C is at stage 1, which is almost impossible to get cancer at stage one).  I'm scared to death, and don't know where to turn.

I am sorry you have not had the response you needed but many of us here are not in a good place right now.  There are people on this forum who will readily offer their support and advice - you just need to give them a chance to get back up to speed.

I have just read your posts and am sorry you are having a bad time.  I am quite new to this but if there is anything I can help you with I will.

Do your symptoms occur regardless of the position you are in (i.e. laying, standing)? Are they worse upon standing/being upright?
Have you had a full hormone panel done?
Do you become tachycardic upon standing? or does it occur at any time?

The only form of autonomic dysfunction I am familiar with is POTS and there are other conditions that can mimic or cause similar symptoms as this.  There are great health pages on here describing this it would help you to read these and see if they sound familiar.

I assume this was meant for another forum?  According to my computer, you first posted September 1, two days ago.  If that's not the case, please take it up with MedHelp technical rather than taking it out on a bunch of ill people.
