Tilt Table Test

Hello, I have a tilt table test coming up soon. I was wondering has anyone had to stop taking their medications prior to the test? I am on 50 mg daily of Atenolol. I am to discontinue my medication 2 days prior to my test.

They told me it didn't matter but I was on a tiny tiny dose of Lopressor. I chose to stop it anyway so they could see the true symptoms and I'm glad I did because I got a diagnosis finally. good luck!

Hi there and Welcome to the Forum :)
this not unusual for them to want you to dicontinue use of your meds prior
to your TTT.

This is to help them gain a more accurate knowledge of what is "TRULY" going on when meds are not "Masking" things.....Or in other words controlling things.
they are looking to see what your body does and how it will respond to the Test itself.

Hope that makes some sort of sense.  Please keep us updateded and let us know how your test goes.

Take Care,
~Tonya
