harlequin syndrome

Two weeks ago I had my first episode of Harlequin's Syndrome. Does it progress, debilitate, or stay the same?

I think I have Harlequin Syndrome, but have never been diagnosed.  I sweat in really weird patterns!! My right hand always sweats and my left hand never sweats. Really my entire right side sweats...except my right breast! My left side rarely sweats except...my left breast sweats!! You could actually draw a straight line down the middle of my face because my right side gets EXTREMELY red and the left side is completely white!!

Based on the information I've found online it appears that I have Harlequin Syndrome.

My question is...could this have been caused by a schwannoma tumor I had removed when I was 23 years old?? Also, my left eye has a slight droop. I believe the schwannoma could have caused that as well.

Does anyone have any information about these issues? I'm just interested in having more information about these issues.

Thanks!

Where were you diagnosed?  What kind of testing has been done?  The characteristic symptoms of Harlequin's can actually be indicative of a few different things, and it's important to get that sorted out to get the answers to your questions as I understand it:
