I don't know the likelihood or what options are available but when it comes to distinct morning symptoms I usually wonder about medication "wearing off" in the night... or perhaps the opposite sort of thing like having a cumulative effect with natural cycles. I am not up on thyroid dosing issues... is it something that can be adjusted, as in splitting the dose throughout the day or anything? I know in general they also take a lot of monitoring (repeated ongoing blood tests) to fine tune the dosage. One fellow I know said it took him many months of adjustments to get things "just right"... and of course the body and circumstances change so it has to be revisited every so often.
I suppose an apnea or other sleep disturbance could spark an overreaction too.
no it wasn't malignant. not sure what sets it off maybey anxiet out of sleep like dreams. could be from thyroid levels also.
It seems like your thyroid levels would have a lot to do with your heart regulation. Have you posted on the Thyroid Forum? You might especially try the Thyroid Expert Forum.
Aside from that, is there anything in particular that sets off the heart palpitations? For instance: when you exercise, right after you exercise, standing up, going up stairs, when you straighten up after leaning over?
Was your thyroid biopsied to confirm that you had malignant cancer? Otherwise you could have had an autoimmune thyroid problem, which is a whole other ball of wax.
