my daughter has trouble breathing at night. Really loud and mucus-fulled snoring, pauses in breathing due to build up of mucus between nose and throat. During the day difficulty breathing through her nose so a lot of mouth breathing and wheezing due to mucus. Pediatrician has been treating with nasal spray (for minor nasal tissue swelling), nebulizer with albuterol, and most recently claritin. She had allergy test which revealed allergies to milk, peanuts, soy, wheat, corn, eggs. but no environmental triggers. Eliminated those things from her diet for two weeks along with taking allergy meds but no relief. Saw ENT doctor but x-rays revealed nothing abnormal so she determined that it must be the milk allergy. I don't think it is related to food allergy because symptom were gone when we left GA and traveled to NY and outside the country. Cleaned air vents and filters, changed carpet, bedroom furniture and linen but still nothing. Getting a second opinion and retesting for allergies but hoping for a suggestion on what this could be. Thanks in advance.
