Hello,
I was diagnosed with a Vestibular Schwannoma Neuroma. My face on the right side - cheek, ear inside, down to the corner of my mouth had gone numb June 19. I had a ringing in my head since--- Oh, Jan or Feb, I guess.
My eye (right again) twitched back in Feb & Mar -- then stopped.
But when My face went numb, I started seeking answers.
Finally got to a neurologist in Aug who did an MRI and found the Schwannoma.
Okay, big major surgery down the line, not right now, but tracking it. Seeing a neurosurgeon on 10/9/09 -
My face and under my eye to my lip -- always felt wrong, not completely numb like at first, but on and off, just numb, odd...
Woke up Saturday Morning - - - not numb now - wow, cool. No numbness.
But inside my ear was a bit itchy. Ignored it as I was doing chores. Until later when I got a chance to use a q-tip and see if it was wax making me itchy, but it was dried blood.
Question: Could there have been a pressure build up that caused the numbness??? And the bleeding relieved the pressure?
Any ideas?
Thank you!
Carol
