Deep Inner Ear and Throat Itch

My 11 year old son has suffered from spring allergies since age 4.  For the last 5 years, he has experienced 5 minute episodes (usually at night) of trying to relieve the itch with his finger and snorkling to relive what he says "itches way down between his ear and throat".  We have seen many allergy specialists and none of the allergy meds seem to work.  He's losing sleep and I am out of ideas.

I dont know if u will see this or not .. but i saw another post that had the same thing on it and i have been using polymycn 5% from bauch and lomb.. it works believe me i had had that itchy ear syndrome for over 20 yrs and finally a new dr prescribed that ,, it does work great.. believe me
