Endoscopic sinus surgery

Hi Folks,

Apparently I have a polyp that needs to be removed. I can breathe, but I do get stuffed up occasionally. At one point it was quite bad, but at this time it's manageable.

My ENT wants to remove the polyp and a bone (do not ask which one, he didnt say.. he pointed to it, and said he was going to remove it to open up my airway) and I am petrified.

I do not want surgery. The risks are so high, blindness? brain damage? Sure.. the risks are low, but is it really worth it? I need some assistance here... I am 22 years old, getting married next year and just starting my life. I do not want to have to deal with this right now. I am feeling very uncomfortable and have called his office twice on the matter and he keeps telling me it's no big deal. Well it IS a huge deal to me to have someone poking about inside my head.
