My throat is constantly tickling and when I talk I cough and then lose my voice somewhat.

Try not drinking milk for a week and see if it improves.  You can substitute almond milk if you aren't allergic to nuts.  There are other options as well.  The reason milk can do this is that it causes excess phlegm and inflammation.  You need to reduce dairy, but you don't have to completely eliminate cheese.  Occasional cheese with pizza or taccos is probably okay.  Just cut back.  You may find mint tea helpful.

Thanks for your suggestions but I hate milk - never, ever drink it.  Only eat cheese when I have a pizza but the mint tea is something I will definitely try.
