Mucous retention cyst

I recently had an MRI of the brain/stem to rule out acoustic neuroma. The MRI came back "normal" as it did not show any tumors; however, it did pick up a small (7 mm) frontal "open air" mucous retention cyst. I am concerned about the location the such a "cyst."

What should I know about them?
It is my understanding that they are not dangerous, but can they become more serious (mucocele)?
If so, are the surgery options today less radical than collapsing the frontal paranasal cavity?
Can they migrate to the brain?
Should it be monitored with periodic diagnostic testing?

Thank you.
