Puss on the tonsile

Hi, about 6 months ago I noticed that on my tonsile I had a white spot. Well, at first I thought it was strep but it wasn't. I went to an ENT doctor and he told me not to worry that it was just a sist. Well now it is on the opposite side and it doesn't hurt but there is some tenderness there. I cant actually take a long pair of tweezers and open a divit on my tonsile a little and pull out some small pieces of this so called puss. I just want to know what it actually is. I dont believe that it is a sist at all. Please help.

Infections on the tonsil are often times denoted by a white spot. If you have these spot reoccuring on different sides you have an infection and you must be treated with antibiotics to see any relief. I would go see a ENT specialist and not a family doc or an internist to be propery diagnosed.
