Severe cramps in throat/chest

I have really bad cramps in my throat that leads to my chest.
It feels like something is stuck in my throat.. and when i try to burp (because I thought it was gas), it only made things worse.
It has been like that since 4 am when i woke up, then fell back asleep and it still continues 8 hours later.
What can it be? :(

Hi, could be gastroesophageal reflux, during sleep due to malfuctioning of lower esophageal sphincter acid reflux back in food pipe and irritates throat. For symptomatic relief try some antacids.

For treatment drugs like omeprazole, pantoprazole are prescribed. Thsi condition is diagnosed on the basis of medical history and endoscopy.
