Throat issues for the past 5 years

So for the last 5 years i have had strep and  tonsillitis  more than enough times. Ever since the first time I've had strap my tonsils have been inflamed and it went down for the first few years but recently I've noticed for the last 23 years the swelling has never went down I have never been able to talk the same and I don't know what it could be im wondering if i need to get them pulled. My doctor has told me nothing is wrong with then. But there are days i can barely even drink water. Ive been to a specialist he told me everything is normal gave me antibiotics and sent me on my way. But still they are swollen. It hurts to swollow let alone breath half the time. I have even said what im saying now. A few months ago i went to get my wisdom teeth pulled and that specialist told me to go get them removed. I have no clue what could be wrong in there
