blood on qtip

This morning I woke up with a bad headach, neck ache,and then took a shower and there was blood on my qtip from my ear. I am currently taking zyrtec and flonase.. But I don't think it's working. Any recommendations? and why does blood come from my ear because of sinus and allergies?
