I am writing to see if theres anyone that could possibly tell me how to help my mom. She has had a bad bppv which is vertigo which is something a little different. She has been sick since Oct the 1st and we have done everything in our power to help her. Er visit, Ent visits and the therapy and she still has it real bad. The worst part is she has a bad reflex with it which she just moves towards the right side and vomits over and over again. I mean a lot. She doesn't wanna eat no more because she has some kind of feeling in the throat that something is stuck. Which we think its because of the vomiting. We feel hopeless and don't know what else to do. Please if any one knows anything that will help please tell me. thank you

Just happened to come across your post, hopefully you have already found relief for your mom already but I wanted to suggest a simbalance pillow. That's what I found finally helped. It's designed to help with positional vertigo and  helps you stimulates the epley maneuvers without much work. Maybe it would help you too.

I also have bppv.  Did the docs tell yr mom about the epley maneuver?  Mine resolved on its own avter about six weeks though i still try to be careful not to make certain movements which ocassionally get me diZzyin bed.  She might ask the docs about if they would suggest her trying those exercises.
