disgusting taste in the throat

Approx a month ago I were on the sick from work due to body aching, bad frontal headaches, cold sweats and a very unpleasant taste in the back of my throat, as well as an extremely sore throat. I was off on the sick for 10 days and visited my doctor who told me its either a viral or bacterial infection and due to not recommending anti-biotics, I persevered. I went back to work and only 2 days ago I am in the same position but only the permanent taste in my throat is very unpleasant. Whats with the bad taste in throat?

Check for candida albican or some kind of bacteria. After antibiotic, it is most likely. Don't wait too long because if it becomes chronic it is harder to get rid of.

As an aside, I would look into possible reflux as well. Heartburn need not be present. It's called LPR.

I could only think of sinus drainage or tongue but would bank on sinuses. If you still have this problem and your regular doctor can't determine it, I would consult with an ENT.
