so the odds of it (the sore throat)being cancer is minimal to none right?  i have no other symptoms.  the sore throat is in the back of the neck/throat.  it feels like a pulled muscle pain though.

In regards to the ear, it can lead to something serious...  but usually it does not. I know that is not much information.

But the deal is, once the throat issues are cleared the ear should also clear up. Usually the throat issues clear up before anything serios goes on in the middle ear.

If you are still not yourself, either go see a doctor or talk to a pharmicist. Because you may need an antihystimine etc. Something OTC may be just enought to take care of your issues.

Wish you luck.

The eustachean tube is closed off due to the phlegm and sore throat issues. Resolve those issues and your ear should be fine.
