fullness and ringing in ears

Okay here it goes... July 1, 2006 I came down with dizziness that I have never experienced before. ( I am 32 y.o. female in good general health) After visiting the gyno, general practicioner, eye doctor, I made my way to see my friend who is an otolaryngologist. She diagnosed me as having BPPV. I did the proper epi-manuevers and it did alleviate the dizziness quite a bit. I thought I was completely in the clear of any symptoms of BPPV come mid-September. I enjoyed my time off from spinning until last week when it hit me with a vengance in front of my eigth grade class. This time I left work and slept (passed out cold) for about 3 hours and then went to my doctor. This time is different-- I have terrible constant ringing in both ears (sometimes different tones), my ears feel as if they have A.D.D. and are listening to every blessed thing that goes on. They ache and feel full.My head has been pounding for a week straight and it is worse at night (yes, i have a white noise machine) I feel as if someone is pulling on my ear tubes. I am on Levaqun and Allegra-D from my GP ( I guess she felt she had to give me something) and sent me to an ENT who literally blew me off. I have an appointment for a neurologist the fourth of December. I will go crazy by then! My questions are as follows; 1.) Is there a relation between the two episodes? 2.) Is this a presenting problem for something else? 3.)Am I ALWAYS going to have this ringing? 4.) Has anyone experienced this and what the hell is going on? Any advice or sharing of stories would be greatly appreciated.

I have almost always had ringing in my ears but last 3 weeks are almost unbearable. Today is very bad. Last week I went to our local Reids Nutrition, and she looked my symptoms up in a book, and said that my cell salts were not level. So for $14.00 I bought a bottle of 500 Bioplasma- a combination of 12 mineral cell salts vital to cellular health & function. It says it brings back balance to overall cell function. So I popped 4-5 under my tongue and let them dissolve, which was very quickly and not bad. I did that all day, and by the end of the day, it was gone. That was 2/21/12 and today its back really bad, so I am back to the cell salts. Now, with the dizziness, I too have been to every doctor I could. I have had it since 2003 and still no cure. I live daily on valium, but I try not to take any if I can take the slight vertigo. My next step is to the Sylverstein Institute, here in Venice FL. I hope they can help me with everything. 1- the dizziness, 2-the ringing ears, 3- headachs.  All my problems and no real answers.  My dizziness is so bad that I cannot wash dishes, chop veggies, do regular kitchen stuff  because the motion brings it on, now go figure that out??!!!!

Do you have allergies?  My ears have been ringing for a month now.  I started taking Zyrtec, it helps some.  I had fluid on my ears from allergies.

There are many causes of the dizziness and tinnitus(ringing ears).
Your not alone,I have this daily,I don't have the dizziness of spinning mines more that the ground is moving or I fall to the right side or back wards
The ENT should not have dismissed you.He should of done a ENG/VNG to pinpoint the cause of the dizziness. This test will show if its peripheral(inner ear) or central(brain).
You can discuss with your GP the med meclizine which will help with the dizziness.Or buy a over the counter med dramamine for motion sickness to see if that will help any.
The ringing in the ears I have different pitches and its constant, its not so bad if theres back ground noise.Ny neuro told me not drink caffinated beverages,no salt,no chocolate no more smoking and maybe some of the ringing would stop.
A neuro is a good start.
