Hello and hope you are doing well.
Perception of abnormal ear or head noises is termed as TINNITUS. Persistent tinnitus usually indicates the presence of sensory hearing loss. Intermittent periods of mild, high-pitched tinnitus lasting for several minutes are common in normal hearing persons. If your problem has been of a recent origin, it may be a temporary phenomenon.
The blocked ears can be opened up by the valsalva maneuver, where air is blown into the cheeks against a closed nostrils, this sometimes helps to open up the tubes. Steam inhalations and warm salt water gargles can help clear the tube.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
hi, thanks for the comment. Saw the ENT specialist and he referred me to an audiologist for hearing test. i have a history of mild hearing lost and the audiologist couldnt suggest anything except maybe wear an ear plug to reduce the high pitch.Bascially she said that my pitch frequency has dropped which causes the high crackling pitch. My left ear started to get sensitive to the noises in the mall, the background noises were so loud and painful. After the next couple of days, my ear seem to be able to cope with the loud noises, but at the end of the day i have an ear ache from the noises.Oh the specialist gave me some decongestant to open up my ear but after taking that for a 4 days my ears (both of them) seem to feel blocked up. sigh.. anyway i'll be seeing the specialist again today to pass him the result from the hearing test. hope he can help me with my ear..
