My daughter has had what she calls "throat boogers" for the past 5 years or so. I have just thought it was a mucus issue, and have tried to teach her how to clear her throat and get rid of them. THe other day she asked me to come and check out how big they were. I will admit its gross, but I did it. What I found was rather disturbing. This is not a mucus like I imagined. It is hard and kind of spongy. She coughed up two of them. THey were each the size of peas, and white in color. They looked like cauliflower, or like two molars. When I inspected them, they were semi solid, but easily crushed and smelled like sour milk. SHe says this is what happens all the time. She says she can feel them pop into her throat and start to gag her, when she coughs and gets them out. Last night she said she just reached down her throat as far as she could and pulled it out because it gags her. What could they be?
